Annexed Barn

This handsome open-timbered barn used to be detached from the main building but is now connected by, and accessible through, the dining room. It is a wonderful, quiet, self-contained barn conversion, with a large reception room, ground floor bedroom with ensuite bathroom and separate exterior door access. This accommodation is great for guests who prefer not to have the challenge of a staircase.

The reception room has two large settle sofas, a grand piano and an electric Yamaha Clavinova piano. Hence, we often refer to this as The Music Room and over the years it has provided a quiet space for musicians to rehearse and record. More recently, some extremely well-known musicians have stayed at Pitcombe Barn – who need silence to practise their craft, and who appreciate the privacy from celebrity hunters.
