Dining Room

The dining room is a stunning oak timbered orangery, hand built by elite craftsmen who prided themselves on using only the most traditional methods and tools. Three sets of oak French windows open onto an outside dining area and the main lawn, which in summer allows one’s indoor dining to blend wonderfully with the outdoors, while a modern underfloor heating system keeps this wonderfully light room completely warm and cosy in winter. A stunning French antique dining table seats sixteen (or more, depending on the chairs used), and a matching pair of Harris Tweed sofas at the far end of the room provide a wonderfully comfortable and restorative place to relax after eating, overlooking the garden, glancing through the Sunday papers or quietly watching the sun inch down over the western horizon.
